CONFESSIONS OF A PROUD ADDICT (My Thoughts)

AN INTRODUCTION TO CONFESSIONS Twenty odd years ago, I found myself in the possession of an exceptionally unique book titled, "the Confessions of an English Opium Eater". Originally published in the early 1800s, my copy was a pengiun paperback edition, making it cheaply affordable enough to be squeezed out of my secondary school allowance. Seeing the book in my room, my sister-in-law (a medical doctor, married to a Neurologist) was a little worried about the possible influence such a suspiciously title book would have on would have on a 16 year old's mind. I told my dear Dr Zainab that there was nothing to worry about.  How very technically wrong I was. Little did I realise it was already too late to worry. *LinX to Part 1*
